This week had major surgery in the immediate family, with all the chaos that ripples outward. The surgery went well, but it’s amazing how the disruptions hit others in unexpected ways. We just spent hours trying to pay a trivial copay where the automated system isn’t sturdy. Then there’s the mystery robo call supposedly from a gov’t agency that didn’t record who the call is for… it’s extra suspicious as gov’t agencies contact by mail first. *sniff, sniff* do I smell scam? Why do the gov’t bodies who can’t protect our personal info, refuse to give us the info we need?
